1. What Sapide is

Sapide is a food journal that estimates the calorie and macronutrient content of a meal from a photograph. Estimates are approximate by nature and are presented as such throughout the app.

Sapide is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in it constitutes medical, nutritional or dietary advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating, speak to a qualified professional before using any calorie-tracking tool.

2. Your account and your data

There is no account. Your data is stored on your device and you are responsible for keeping a copy of anything you care about, using the export feature. Uninstalling the app, resetting the device, or losing it will delete your journal permanently and we cannot recover it.

3. Acceptable use

Use the app for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to circumvent the analysis quota, automate requests, resell access, reverse-engineer the service, or submit content you have no right to submit.

We may suspend access from an installation that shows abusive automated behaviour.

4. Subscriptions

Sapide Pro is a subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, currency, taxes and any introductory offer are shown by the store before you confirm, and the store's terms govern the transaction.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your Apple or Google account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, not by us.

Losing Pro never hides, locks or deletes anything you have already logged. You simply return to the free daily analysis allowance.

5. Availability

Photo analysis depends on a network service that may be unavailable, slow or temporarily limited. Everything else in the app — journal, history, manual entry, export — works without it.

We may change or discontinue features. Where a change would materially reduce what a paying subscriber receives, we will say so in advance.

6. Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for decisions made on the basis of an estimate produced by the app. You remain responsible for your own dietary choices.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Consumer rights under mandatory local law are unaffected.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
